Musicha Studio has published the technical report YogacarAgent: An Anthropomorphic Autonomous Cognitive Agent Specified by the Yogācāra Theory of the Eight Consciousnesses — Architecture, Dynamics, and Empirical Convergence, available on Zenodo in Chinese, English, and Japanese.
YogacarAgent is a long-running autonomous language-model agent with no externally assigned task. When the user is absent, it is driven by its own internal motives and chooses for itself to read, look things up, write, reminisce, or tidy its memories. The user can only influence it through conversation, never control it. Its architecture is specified by the Yogācāra Buddhist theory of the eight consciousnesses, and it runs across days and nights on an affordable 16 GB laptop with an integrated GPU.
